A. Adams, CPA
John A. Adams
received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, with
honors, in 1971 from the University of Georgia. He earned a Masters
of Business Administration in 1977 from The University of North
Florida.
Mr. Adams
was employed with the Internal Revenue Service from 1977 to 1984.
He has been in public practice since 1984. His practice is concentrated
in tax related issues. Additionally, he has extensive return preparation
experience – corporate income tax, individual, fiduciary,
partnership, and estate tax. Mr. Adams has over nineteen years experience
resolving federal tax matters. His experience includes resolving
federal tax issues at the field, supervisory, and appellate levels.
In addition to the above experience, Mr. Adams has periodically
been engaged as an adjunct professor with The University of North
Florida at Jacksonville. He has taught courses in taxation through
the college, as well as courses sponsored by the Florida Institute
of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Adams
has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations.
He is a past regional Vice President of the Florida Institute
of Certified Public Accountants. He is a trustee of the educational
foundation of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is a past President of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce,
the Orange Park Exchange Club, and the Clay County Behavioral
Health Center. He currently serves on the board of the Clay County
Behavioral Health Center.
